limited number of clients with consulting services in an advisory role for the marketing of products, services and destinations for outdoor- and travel-related businesses. The services available include concept
refinement and development, industry guidance on media, marketing and sales, and advice on product design, pricing, packaging and advertising.
Writing/Editorial
My years of industry
knowledge can be invaluable for developing, writing and/or editing sales and promotions materials and graphics. This includes copy and format review and guide/brochure development highlighting the product, service or
destination. I am available for writing magazine/newsletter columns, features, tips or short items and ad copy, and for developing a complete product and promotion press program.
Promotions/Seminars/Endorsement
I enjoy sharing my knowledge and expertise and have given numerous seminars on fishing and publishing/writing topics. I am available for promotional work including participation in consumer/trade shows,
radio interviews, outdoor-related TV shows, videos, etc. On a very selected, ethical basis, I can provide product/service endorsement and offer my name/image to help promote quality products, services and
destinations.
Photography/Video Production
My product/activity photography experience is
extensive. I am available for shooting multiple rolls of all-rights photos on a day-rate basis, or for shooting specific shot set-ups on a per-shot selected basis. I
have an extensive file of 20,000 slides of fish, fishing, sunsets, underwater, scenics, destinations, etc. all relative to outdoor recreation and locations. I have conducted photo shoots for national magazines,
corporate and many other industry and travel destination clients. I have produced one successful fishing video and have been involved in the production of six others. I am available for video consulting,
script-writing, directing, on-camera, and voice-over editing.
Public Relations
As a member of the outdoor media, I am very familiar with the most productive writers, communications
methods and topics that can create a successful public relations campaign. More than 50 industry clients have utilized my experience to prepare press releases and promotions that will increase
awareness of products, facilities, and destinations of outdoor-related businesses. These services are available a la carte.
Book Production and Rights/CD ROM
My book publishing company, Larsen's Outdoor Publishing, can assist self-publishers with all aspects of book production, including editing, cover and interior design, photography selection and printing liaison.
We have worked with several companies to produce company-sponsored books, including Luhr-Jensen, L&S Mirr-O-Lure, Penn Reels, Trebark, CVA and others. Foreign (language) book rights
to most Larsen's Outdoor Publishing titles are available also. CD ROM print or electronic editorial
reproduction rights to any and all of Larry's 10 "how-to" bass fishing books (approx. 370,000 words) are available for the right client project.
Agreement/Fees
My services are billable on a project basis, on a day-rate basis, on a monthly retainer contract, or in limited cases, on a royalty agreement, depending on the nature of the activity and interest of the client.
Out-of-pocket expenses are billed separately.
